For four years, Raul Rivero of Miami served St. Theresa Catholic School in Coral Gables, Florida as the Chairman of the Advisory Board. This seventy-five-year-old institution has a very active member in Raul Rivero who also served as a Lector in his parish at the Church of the Little Flower.
Raul Rivero of Miami is responsible for the founding of the Reverend Arthur Dennison’s Emmaus Men’s Softball Tournament. This is an important tournament for the community and an absolutely fun one for all who take part or decide to watch from the sidelines. Though the tournament lasts for only a day, it raises a significant amount of money. In the sixth year of its creation, the Rev. Arthur Dennison’s Emmaus Men’s Softball Tournament has raised well over one hundred thousand dollars for the charities that it sponsors. Raul Rivero Miami was given a leadership award for starting this fundraising softball tournament.
Other contributions to organizations that are connected to the faith of Raul Rivero of Miami include his time with the Christopher Columbus Catholic High School Alumni Association. For a significant time, Raul Rivero of Miami sat on the board for the all boys high school that he graduated from so long ago. The high school is fifty years old and is currently run by the Marist brothers.

On August 25th of 2006, Raul Rivero of Miami met with the other members of the Joint Underwriting Association board to discuss ideas that would help Florida businesses and eventually create the ideas. This first meeting was a big one. It brought all of the appointees, including Raul Rivero of Miami, together for the first time. The thirteen members of the JUA board met in Tallahassee and brought together members from all over Florida. The first meeting between these board members was to decide on rates and forms to be used in the policies and how to create more available coverage.

This Joint Underwriting Association board included thirteen members that the Florida Department of Financial Services noted that the State Chief Financial Officer, Tom Gallagher, chose. The appointees included members from a variety of sections all throughout the peninsula state of Florida, including Raul Rivero of Miami.
Established in 2006, the JUA board was brought together to help Florida businesses that could not get policies of commercial property. The JUA board programs were to be written by insurance companies that the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation negotiated policies. Raul Rivero of Miami was thrilled to be a part of this team. Rivero was the President of Insurance Corporate Consultants in Coral Gables. The experience and knowledge of Raul Rivero of Miami allowed him to make great contributions to the Joint Underwriting Association board.
